A Well-Bred Man—What Does It Involve?

A WELL-BRED MAN 

1.0 A man with good home training is polite, He shows respect and concern for the feelings of others. 

2.0 He respects his Elders.

3.0 He speaks the truth at all times. 

4.0 He shows self-restraint while eating or drinking among other people, he does not shout or fight for food or drink, He waits patiently for his turn. 

5.0.1 He eats like a responsible person in a restaurant or in any occasion, He doesn't lick the plate with his tongue or fingers, neither does he crush the bones of meat so loud in a way that attracts people's attention.

5.0.2 He doesn't cross or raise his hands over other people's food on the table.

6.0 He shows good manners in responding to the calls of Nature, he does not yawn like an animal keeping his mouth wide open and looking at you, neither does he cough or sneeze into your face or into the food he is serving, He turns away his face or closes it with his handkerchief. 

7.0 He uses his handkerchief also and not his finger to clean his eyes or nose especially when there is a second person, he does not blow his nose carelessly in the presence of people or into the sink, He uses tissue papers or handkerchief for all that.

8.0 If he is leaving his company he says "Excuse me Gentlemen " or "Ladies " as the case may be. 

 9.0 While in a meeting he shows civility and obedience; While speaking there, if the chairman declares his speech out of order and asks him to stop, he agrees. 

10.0 In shopping or other business transactions, he tries to observe the Rule of "First come First served". 

11.0 In his employment he tries to be punctual, hardworking and conscientious. He shows human sympathy to all his clients. 

12.0 In a narrow passage, if inadvertently anybody gives way to him, He says "Thank you ". And if inadvertently he bars anybody's way or touches him he says "Sorry ".

13.0 In the Bus he gives seat to sick persons, pregnant women Or elderly people.  

14.0 He keeps his surroundings clean and neat at all times. 

15.0 If a person who does not understand his language joins his company, he speaks in a language that all can understand. 

16.0 When he plays his record or cassette or watches his television, he makes the sound low or moderate for the sake of his neighbors. 

17.0 He is satisfied with his partner in a relationship. He doesn't go hunting for valley girls and bimbs.
